Located in South West England, the town of Swindon is within the borough of Swindon and the county of Wiltshire. The Industrial Revolution contributed to the growth of Swindon, particularly with the completion of the Wilt and Berks Canal in 1810 and the North Wilts Canal in 1819. This enabled trade to travel more easily to the area. The railway eventually had its own impact on Swindon as well. The original town of Swindon is now called Old Town. There, visitors can explore the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery to learn more about the town and the area. With the arrival of the railroad, the resulting growth determined the new Swindon’s Town Centre where visitors can shop, indoors and out. Students enrolled in English school in Swindon might like to catch a concert at the Old Town Bowl if they are in Swindon during the summer. Students might also enjoy catching a performance at the Wyvern Theatre. The theatre is designed so that no seat in the house is further than 70 feet from the stage, offering visitors an intimate experience. Do not miss the opportunity to explore Lydiard Park. This historic park land sits on the western edge of Swindon. Tour the Lydiard House and the neighboring St. Mary’s Church, each offering unique windows into the history of this area. The beautiful grounds are ever changing with the season, so be sure to return multiple times to grasp the full beauty of the park. The Park also plays host to a number of events throughout the year.

The morning is divided into two parts and two teachers usually share the class. The course is designed to improve students’ abilities to use language accurately and fluently while concentrating on the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.
