The English Language Program at ISSOS is designed for those who have English as a second language, the interactive program caters fo all ability levels and helps students become proficient in English by immersing them in an English speaking environment for three weeks. On arrival at ISSOS students will be given a proficiency test so that we can establish the English level and they can be placed in the correct class level.

This three week debate program offers students, whether experienced or inexperienced in debate, the opportunity to immerse themselves in the exciting academic world of debate. Combining interactive workshops with professional coaching and a variety of formal and informal debating opportunities students will be able to take part in a stimulating experience second to none.

Over three weeks our business and entrepreneurship program will introduce students to a world beyond academia, through a series of interactive workshops, practical tasks and case studies students will learn about some of the most successful businesses in the world and understand what makes them work. Students will learn about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and the fundamentals of starting a business and marketing a product.

Introductory and advanced workshops will introduce students to all phases of the writing process, including idea generation, writing and revising drafts and editing. Students who choose the tennis elective will work with our professional tennis coaches to learn new skills, achieve their personal goals and develop a love of the game. The course is designed to meet the needs of every student, from complete beginners to advanced level tennis players.

The ISSOS theatre elective gives students the opportunity to explore and extend their theatrical skills and devise a unique piece of theatre. Over the three-week period this elective course will combine a series of skill-based masterclasses and ensemble workshops in which students will work as a team under the guidance of a theatre professional to create an exciting piece of original theatre, which will be performed in the final week.

The three-week film elective gives students the unique opportunity to discover the fascinating world of film- making and to let their imaginations run free. The course provides a practical introduction to all aspects of film craft through a combination of interactive seminars, technical training and hands-on experience behind the camera.

Use the inspiring campus and surrounding areas of Cambridge University as a playground of visual stimulation, ISSOS is the best place to learn or advance your photography skills. Learn to photograph the landscape, portraits of friends, nature and life in action.

This unique summer school course will develop student’s confidence and personal leadership abilities through varied and exciting outdoor activities. This exciting and above all fun elective summer school course is exclusive to ISSOS and will be taught by a fully qualified outdoor leadership instructor.
