Year-round English courses for children and teenagers in Malta

The junior course builds up basic knowledge of the English language by focusing on simple verbs, grammar and vocabulary. The course is designed specifically for children.

Gateway School of English offers all year round Junior Programmes for students aged between 11 and 17 years. We offer group programmes as well as programmes for individual students who do not wish to travel with a group.

It’s an undeniable fact that more and more parents are opting to join their children on English Language trips to Malta and Gozo. Precisely for this reason, Gateway School of English, itself a family-run establishment, offers a course of study that allows parents to bring their young children along with them to learn English, using facilities on the premises that ensure a flexible and enjoyable stay.

This course is the same as the General English course, however it is tailor-made for young learners. Teachers teach English in a fun, interactive and dynamic way to ensure that the students do not get bored and get the most out of their classes.

Minimum stay: one week This young learner programme is set in the northern coast of Malta, with accommodation at a hotel in Qawra or St. Paul's Bay.

This programme has been specially designed for parents who would also like to have their children on a Junior course at the same time within the same school building. It combines 20 lessons of English per week (3 hours per day).

Our Standard Course guarantees a dramatic boost to your confidence in a foreign language, with focused teaching in all 4 skill areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing with 20 lessons per week. The learning journey continues as soon as classes finish! With our comprehensive leisure programme students have the opportunity to really discover their chosen destination.

This course is designed for teenagers who are doing, or will soon be doing their high school / secondary school pre-university examinations in Germany. Lessons focus on grammar, vocabulary, verbal and written communication, and examination techniques.
