You study 20 lessons every week following BLC’s curriculum of focused language training. A great choice if you want to have free time in the afternoon to enjoy your time in Brighton, see the sights or socialise with your new friends from BLC.

Our General English 20 + Skills Focus 6 course combines morning group tuition plus 2 afternoon sessions of 2 hours & 15 minutes concentrating on speaking and listening skills.

Our General English course is designed to improve all areas of your English, increasing your vocabulary, enhancing your grammar, boosting your written work and strengthening your reading skills. We encourage individual learning and independence through working alone, in pairs and in groups.

The General 20 course focuses on language fluency as a main goal. The four major skills students will practice are reading, writing, speaking and listening.

The Intensive Course is perfect if you want to increase your fluency in a short period of time. Aside from an intensive schedule of General English lessons, you will be able to choose from a range of Special Interest Groups subject to availability.

Course Overview includes • 24 lessons per week • Minimum age: 16+ • Elementary to Upper Intermediate levels • Lesson: 50 minutes • Max class size: 15 students • Afternoon academic options • Regular testing, academic counselling and assistance with university placement An individual study plan is designed for you to suit your level , individual aims and the duration of your course.

In addition at specific locations, we organize social activities which suit the more mature student’s interests.
