The Short Term General Japanese Course is for all level of students who wish to study Japanese and experience Japanese life on holidays. ISI School, have a wide array of classes, from beginner to advance, so you will find the most suitable class for you.
Tuition is organized in terms of 10 weeks of classes. 10 weeks of classes correspond to 3 months since we have 1 or 2 weeks of holidays at the end of each term.
Our experienced teachers will help you achieve your goals using original photos and pictures, so that students can relax and practice for many situations. We use a direct teaching method. You have a lot of chances to speak up in the elementary classes.
Once you reach the intermediate level, you can take 16 hours general lessons and 4 hours elective lessons. The elective lessons can be chosen from conversation, job finding classes, university and college preparation classes. Minimum enrollment is 2 weeks.
Please note that the courses must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance.

Takadanobaba Academic Pathway Campus offers Japanese language courses tailored to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
For students aiming to enter some of Japan's most prestigious universities and graduate schools, the campus offers a specialized Top University Preparation Class. Admission to this class is based on a selection examination held periodically, and successful applicants can join an intensive academic program designed to maximize their chances of success.
The curriculum progresses at a faster pace than regular courses and includes comprehensive preparation for the JLPT and EJU (Japanese subject), as well as support for university and graduate school admissions. Students receive guidance on essays, statements of purpose, research proposals, university-specific entrance examinations, and interviews. As a result, many graduates successfully gain admission to highly competitive universities and graduate schools each year.
The campus is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station, providing excellent access to central Tokyo and major transportation networks. The surrounding area offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés, shops, and everyday amenities, creating a comfortable and convenient environment for students to study and live.

Takadanobaba area is filled with active young energy. There are a lot of Universities and colleges. It is just 5minutes away from Shinjuku, by train. Near Takadanobaba station, the civil renovation makes it more convenient with restaurants ans shopping mall, and also it’s well maintained in civic security. Our school is conveniently located 3minutes walk from JR Takadanobaba station, and 1minute walk from Tokyo Metro Tozai line Takadanobaba station.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying Japanese in Tokyo. These homes are often between 15 - 60 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. You must check out 1 day after your classes end (usually a Saturday). Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18+. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan. It is possible to live in a rented apartment during your study in Tokyo, but this tends to be more expensive. ISI Language School, Takadanobaba provides some assistance with apartment rentals or you can rent an apartment on your own. Learn more about apartment housing
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
