Course description

The General English semi intensive course is 20 lessons in the morning plus one extra lesson per day (Electives). Electives include: Business, Finance, IELTS, EAP, Cambridge, Communication skills, Writing skills and more.

The General English programme develops your English language and communication skills, giving you the confidence and ability to function in everyday situations. Through a communicative approach, you will practise your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. There are also many opportunities to learn these skills in a variety of ‘real-life’ situations. You will also be able to improve your pronunciation and develop your grammar and vocabulary range.
Included in the tuition and course material fees:
- 20, 25 or 40 lessons per week
- Course and materials
- Access to library
- Course certificate upon completion of the programme

Academic Excellence and Student support:
- We ask all new students to complete a first week survey via Google forms at the end of their first week. The Student Services Team and Academic Teams then review the feedback and follow up on any concerns where necessary.

- A suggestion box in located in the library, students are able to complete a feedback form giving feedback but are also encouraged to speak with the team in person.

- Every quarter, the Academic Team asks students to complete a paper questionnaire about their experience in class. We look at this information and address any immediate concerns from students and make changes as necessary and this is also a tool for teacher development.

- Students complete an end of course survey on their last day with us via Google forms and we use this information to inform future changes and to ensure we give the best student experience we can.

- Students can book 1-1 Welfare Study Clinic sessions (no extra cost) with an Academic Coordinator to discuss any academic questions, areas for extra practice or general concerns. Posters advertising these clinics are clearly displayed in classrooms and the library and students are also informed during their first day induction.

- Students who are with us for 4 weeks or more are offered a tutorial with their teacher every 4 weeks. They can discuss their progress and set targets, as well as getting individual, specialist advice from their teacher. Any issues identified in these tutorials are raised with the Academic team.

Our Academic Team is always on hand to help students, they meet the academic Coordinator for their centre during their induction and are encouraged to come and speak with them whenever they would like to. The Academic Coordinators are always visible in the school.
