The DELE 20 + 5 course is designed for students who want to improve their general Spanish while preparing for the official DELE exam. DELE, the Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, is an official Spanish language certificate issued by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain’s Ministry of Education and follows the CEFR levels A1 to C2.
Students follow 20 group lessons of General Spanish per week, usually as part of the Intensive 20 course, plus 5 individual DELE preparation lessons per week. The group lessons focus on overall Spanish development through speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. The private lessons focus specifically on the student’s target DELE level and exam needs.
The individual DELE lessons may include exam format, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, oral expression, grammar review, vocabulary, timing strategies and practice with exam-style tasks. The teacher reviews the student’s level, target exam and weaker areas so the preparation can focus on the skills most relevant to the chosen DELE level.
The DELE exam can be taken at official exam centres in Spain or in other countries, depending on available dates and registration conditions. Official exam fees and exam registration are not included unless specifically stated.

I signed up for 50+ classes but because my level was 0 I was in class with 3 very young students from Morocco. And this was a great experience, I think much better than being with 50+ people. The teachers were awesome: Ana, Sara, and Rocio. We learned a lot but also had fun. The location was in the center of the city, very close to my house. The activities were nice, especially the flamenco show. I didn't have accommodation with the school, so my house was great (I know some people complain about accommodation with families). Only one thing was not very good: classes. Some classes were very small and not comfortable. But this is not a very big deal. Overall atmosphere and level of the teachers were great. I am very happy with my experience and in a few months I would like to go again, probably to a different city (to discover more of Spain)

I had a great time at SHM when I did a Spanish course there a few years ago in Granada. I went there to improve my Spanish and stayed for 3 weeks.
The school is quite small but extremely welcoming. The staff is great. Pilar, the Director, helped me out throughout all my stay and guided and advised me in everything I needed, both concerning the course and for any personal matter I had.
I also really liked the Spanish classes. The teachers were very nice and made the class fun and very entertaining. My Spanish improved greatly while I was there.
I was staying in a flat in the centre of town, very close to the language centre, which was really practical too.
Granada is a perfect destination to go and do a language course as it offers so many interesting things to see and do when you're not in class. I did some flamenco dance classes which was an amazing experience for me. Apart from only visiting Granada, I used my free time to also spend a few days in the mountains and at the beach.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that you had such a positive experience at SHM, now Linguaschools Granada. It’s lovely to read how welcoming the school felt, and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Pilar and the teaching team.
We’re especially glad that your Spanish improved so much during your 3-week course, and that you enjoyed the classes, the central accommodation, Granada itself, and experiences like flamenco dancing. Granada really is a special place to combine Spanish learning with culture, nature, and local life.
Thank you again for sharing such warm memories of your time with us!
Classes - light, spacious and conducive for a good class
Teachers - I only had one teacher and I couldn't recommend her (Alicia) highly enough for her professionalism and friendliness throughout my course. She made learning an absolute pleasure while I was at SHM, and in addition to this, she helped me to pass my DELE exam.
Location - Very central, convenient and easily reachable by walking from my accommodation
Facilities - Welcoming and friendly reception with everything you need for a language course
Activities/housing - I had my own accommodation and as I was doing a 1:1 course, I didn't take part in any social activities.
I really enjoyed learning Spanish at SHM. Overall, the course was very good but the thing that stood out for me about SHM compared to other schools I have attended was how everybody was so welcoming and friendly. We worked and studied a lot but also had time to relax in the local cafe in the breaks and as a result, I really felt a part of the family while I was a student there. The only thing I would suggest that needs improving would be for them to get a really good coffee machine.

And thank you for the coffee machine suggestion — noted!
It was an excellent week. The school had an excellent teacher. I had a great time. I would thoroughly recommend this school.
