"Great experience, great staff"

Juan Diego Ramirez, student from Colombia

Class and staff were very friendly. I accomplished my goal at kaplan, which was to improve my English skills. I would have liked a little more interaction from Kaplan on the after class activities as I felt we were on our own to decide and create groups For each activity

"It was very good! Everybody is so friendly and I had the best teacher of grammar."

glenda queiroz, student from USA

The school is settled in a great neighborhood, close to many restaurants, bars, subway stations and museums.
The teachers and students are very friendly which made you feel comfortable. Also, I had the best grammar classes with professor Robert. I just would like to have more classes about writing in the program or in Kplus.

"A really interesting experience in an amazing city"

matteo zappa, student from Italy

Kaplan International is a really good center to study English. The classes are so good and organized. My teacher (Robert) was very kind and really patient with all the students. I don't think there are a lot of facilities in Kaplan, just the necessary. The location is perfect! So close to city hall, the center of Philadelphia. The activities in Kaplan are not so good, with just some trips sometimes.

"Brilliant teachers and great experience!"

Katsiaryna Valkouskaya, student from Belarus

I really enjoyed my stay at Kaplan. I got proficiency level, so except for learning grammar of vocabulary, we spent plenty of time just discussing different things: politics, economics, traditions. We had people from Colombia, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, so it was extremely interesting to exchange opinions with people from different countries.
Also, I had a great teacher! Jen was not only great at what she's doing, she's also a very smart person, it was a pleasure to talk to her. Moreover, she always knew how to hold our attention and we never got bored.

"Very good."

Eros Carvalho, student from Angola

It was a very pleasant experience. I really liked the school. The teachers are very good, and explain lessons very well. There is a special rule in school that we can not speak our languages within the school because it helps us learn more English in a short time.
It was very good for me to be a part of a great English school.

The class was agreeable. There were few students in the class and it helps to interact with the teacher. The teachers are very good and they help to improve a lot in class through extra class activities.

It was a wonderful 4 weeks, that I've studied at Kaplan. The teachers and all personal of KIC Philadelphia are very good people and a big professionals. The location of the school is right at the heart of the city. After classes we went to different activities such as Basketball games, bowling, museums and etc. I miss you all so much, and I wish to comeback one day and to study again at the Kaplan.

"Incredible"

Jessica Fuentes, student from Venezuela

I had the most incredible teacher at Kaplan that made me learn english in a fun way, but at the same time with responsibility and interest. I liked the Kaplan activities because they make you practice even outside of the school. The only thing that I didn't like was the international house, i only could stay for a month because is a not a good place to life for people at my age.

"It was just great and I'd repeat such a trip thousand times if I could!"

Levent Elias Ali Saran, student from Germany

Classes were always interesting. Studying was fun with these ambitioned teachers. Unfortunately I couldn't participate at many activities in the afternoon, because most of the time I had afternoon lessons.. Nevertheless the location of the school is excellent as it is located 2 minutes far from the next food court, the biggest shopping streets of Philly and the liberty bell, etc.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying full time in the United States for more than 18 hours per week, you will receive an I-20 that you need to submit to the US embassy along with your F-1 student visa application. The I-20 has a SEVIS tracking number on it. Students who wish to apply for a student visa must pay the SEVIS fee online before going to the US embassy or consulate for their visa interview.

Your I-20 will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $80 when you register.

Please note that United States law states that an I-20 can only be issued to students who intend to pursue full-time English language studies. United States law does not permit students to study part-time with an F-1 Student Visa. If you are studying for less than 18 hours per week, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.

Flights and airport transfer

The school offers airport pickup services. If you wish to be picked up, just give us your flight details and arrival date. The price of a one-way airport transfer from Philadelphia International Airport is $95. You must book your airport transfer in advance when you register.

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Philadelphia based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

Travel insurance

Study abroad worry-free with Language International's health and personal effects insurance coverage. When you book a course with us, you can opt to purchase an international insurance plan that covers not only your health care cost but also loss of your personal belongings. School location

Our Philadelphia English school is centrally located, with bus lines, subway stops and the SEPTA regional service all within a few minutes’ walk.

As the first capital of the United States, Philadelphia is full of history. But despite its starring role in the American Revolution, this is a friendly, unpretentious city with a low cost of living. Philadelphia is happy to be famous for great sandwiches as well as great art, and is as much the home of boxing movie legend Rocky Balboa as Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
