"A nice stay in a beautiful spot in France - though the course could be more intense."

Ilse Skov Lauridsen, student from Denmark

I was quite satisfied with the school and the teachers. We were a small team of 3 persons the first week and 4 the next, so school days were short. I would have liked more time in school.

I would have also liked to do some study outside the school, like tasks or homework in the city, or actually using French in daily matters.

"A nice learning experience"

Jeroen Sermant, student from Belgium

As somebody who already has a good amount of experience with the French language, this course was still useful to me. I learned many new, specific words, and the grammatical exercises also were practical. We also had the chance to express ourselves with speaking exercises. The enthusiasm of the teacher always made the lessons enjoyable for the students. The activity involved us going on the streets of Chamonix and asking questions to the local residents. This was very interesting and a good chance to exercise your speaking skills.

"It was a great french learning experience."

Per Arnsäter, student from Sweden

Teacher was great. Location was great. Activities were good but only two in 3 weeks, I expected a lot more, like climbing etc. Housing was good with a great view!

"It was really nice."

Christine Theis, student from Germany

So, my english isn´t really good, but i would like to give you some information from my trip. I was 2 weeks in Chamonix. I lived with a boy (also form the language school) in an apartment near the school. My teacher was good, he made a lot of practice examples, what makes easier to learn French. The teacher was also funny, he make some jokes and that’s the reason why it wasn´t boring. I loved it for going snowboarding after the school, near Chamonix are nice pistes for skiing. A lot of evenings i have had fun with the other girls/boys from the school, we were going in the city to drink something or visiting the market in Chamonix. It’s nice for me to remember of this trip!

Bye Christine

"1. What is the the distance between the school and the ChamBer? 2. What is the the distance between ChamBery and ski station?"

alexandre Moraes, student from Brazil
Anna Norén, INSTED - Institute of Foreign Education school representative

1. The distance between the school and the accommodation is never more than about 10 minutes by foot. All out apartments are located in central Chamonix and so is the school.
2. Chambéry is a city further south. It's about 1.5 hours by car from Chambéry to Chamonix. Or do you mean the distance between Chamonix and the ski lifts? There are the Aguille du Midi and the connection to the Brévent slopes right in town. Furthermore there are free shuttle busses that take you to the neighbouring ski areas of Les Houches (20 minutes), Flégere (10 minutes), Grands Montets (20 minutes) and Le Tour (40 minutes).
