Programme
In the mornings, students have their lessons in small groups, with our fully qualified teachers. The classes stress the use of language in everyday situations and on specific topics such as music, fil, fashion, local culture, social media, etc.. A variety of materials are used in instruction, including role-playing, games, newspapers, magazines and other materials.
During the afternoons, students can enjoy our long list of activities as well as exploring the beautiful beaches, countryside and the many historical places Guernsey has to offer. Guernsey is the ideal place for your son or daughter to learn a high standard of English in a safe, fun and stimulating way!
Activities
All of CIEA’s programmes include morning classroom based lessons, followed by afternoon social and leisure activities. Activities can include Kayaking, Coasteering, High Ropes, Paddle Boarding, Bowling, Beach Games, Archery, Beach BBQ’s, Cinema, Visits to Herm Island, Museums, Cliff Walks, Shopping, and much more…!
Accommodation Host family accommodation is full board, including breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal each day. Special diets can be catered for on request (subject to a surcharge). Students will be collected from the Airport or Harbour on arrival and taken there to return. They will also be given a bus card to travel by bus each day, if needed. Hosts can be located all around the island and are diverse with hosts ranging from couples, singles, retired people, families with children and one-parent families. Junior students will usually be in a shared room with another student(s) of same nationality or different nationality (unless otherwise specified). Juniors aged from 12 years old and younger must share with a sibling, friend, or another student who is also taking a course with CIEA.

English Academy Channel Islands is located in Guernsey in the heart of St Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey.
The school's central location and its wide variety of courses for young and older students, make it an ideal location to study English: students can choose from general English courses, examination courses, CLIL courses, or executive courses, and can decide between just a few lessons per week to 30 lessons per week. Accent Language School school offers fantastic activities for the Junior study breaks, and can tailor-made courses and activities for adults according to their needs. Guernsey is an ideal place for families as well as combining the studying of English with a true holiday.

English Academy Channel islands is located in Guernsey in the center of the capital St Peter Port right in the middle of the pedestrian area, near the picturesque port, the central bus terminus, the tourist information center and all the shops and restaurants - major attractions such as Castle Cornet, Victor Hugo House, Candie Museum and more are all walking distance.
In the summer we move our junior classes to the prestigious Elizabeth College which is also located in the center near our offices.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Guernsey. These homes are often between 25 - 50 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
