"One sentence will not do justice for the school- because all the teachers were awesome!"

Sharon Berwick Simpson Diaz, student from USA

I have done much international traveling, but I want to say this was one of my most memorable times. The school was located across from the marina and I enjoyed my 20-30 minute walk to and from the school every day. The teachers were so enjoyable and I feel I learned a lot...especially the grammar. They were so helpful in everything. Even when one of the company planes I was flying with went bankrupt, they helped me obtain another flight on their own free time. Just AWESOME! I wish I could have stayed longer! Meeting the many students from other countries was very rewarding, as well. I hope to return to that school again and hope all the same teachers are still there.

My housing was interesting. The people were very nice and the lady of the house was an excellent cook. I think this situation would probably be good for young people, but being a little more mature, I think I would prefer more private housing next time.

I also want to comment on Michele, the young man who arrange the trip. What an asset to his job and work. I enjoyed communicating with him and he is so accommodating in every way. I hope I will be able to have him help me on my next language adventure.

I highly recommend Solingua Instituto. You will love the teachers, the warm welcoming atmosphere...great teaching skills, and they are like family!
I miss them all every day!

"Variaty and good teachers"

Beata Ciepiel, student from Denmark

I spent a week with 4 hours a day on the course and I feel that I made a progress even in such short period of time. The classes were very different depending on a teacher that taught me. I had two to three different teachers every day. First, I thought it was confusing, but after a while I found it's quite interesting because I had to adjust to different teaching methods and persons. Finally I think it is quite a good idea to have different teachers.

The only problem was that the book / program I was suppose to follow was spread out and my learning felt a little superficial. On the other hand I was there for only a week, so I think the school tried to make the most out of it.

I was missing a placement test on my arrival to assign me to the right level. That lead to assigning me first to a higher level and then to the basic level. That could have been avoided if the placement test was conducted upon arrival.

All together I think the school and teachers were good and I achieved my goals and made progress.

I stayed at the apartment of a Spanish lady who was very kind and helpful. I really felt at home and unfettered. The location was also very good - on a side street to the main road along the sea. Close to the beach - 5-10 minutes. About 20-30 minutes walk to school along the beach promenade. Good restaurants around.

About activities. Unless you stay over a weekend - it is difficult to go on the trips to e.g.,, Sevilla, Ronda, Grenada etc., because all of them would take the whole day. You can, though, go to Malaga by train - easy and cheap.

"The best experience you have ever dreamed of!"

Ewa Kabza

There is only one word when I think about my stay at Solingua - BLAST!

Classes- it was one of the best experiences I have ever had when it comes to the language acquisition. I was fortunate to have private advanced Spanish course for me and my friend. Lectures were conducted in student-friendly way. First of all, we had all learning materials provided. However, we also focused on real-life situations. Classes were interactive, we talked a lot also. But what I loved the most was that we had different teachers during the course, so we could get familiar with Spanish and Latin American accents.

Teachers- amazing, super professional, people who know how to motivate you to learn a language. Aside from incredible teaching skills and learning flexibility, they are also willing to organize some sightseeing tours so you can practice language in real life.

Location - just perfect! The school is located in picturesque Benalmadena (Costa del Sol, Spain), just 5 min away from the beach and sea. Just on the other side of a street, there is Puerto Marina center where you can go shopping and eat.

Facilities - when you enter to the school, you will notice that it is full of light and colors - it puts you immediately into good mood. All classrooms are modern and spacious. There are comfortable waiting room with cozy sofas. There is also a readily available kitchen.

Activities - during our stay, Solingua organized many interesting trips and activities for us, among them: trip to Gibraltar, visiting Butterfly Park and Dolphinarium, trip to Malaga, paddle surf course, social meetings and many more.

Housing - we stayed in a hotel located on the beach. Could not be better.

"Quick improvement in a very friendly atmosphere"

Anna

I liked the classes held in small groups of 2-3 people, it helps to maximize results when everyone has a full attention of teachers. Location is at the center, near the port which I believe is very good. The school provided materials, book copies, facilities to display educational movies/songs and also drinks and cookies during the break, that were really nice refreshment.
I was living with a Spanish family, they were very friendly and provided me everything I needed.
I have no things to complain about, just why the course was so short? :)

"Dynamic team of teachers who contributed to improving my Spanish in a friendly environment"

Nelly-Géraldine Comon, student from Switzerland

I had a personal coach for the week since I was the only one who had subscribed for Spanish lessons. The other students were Spanish people learning English. The atmosphere and welcoming was nice, and after the evalaution of my Spanish level, I was brought up to speed in my level through a lot of exchange and conversation in Spanish, which was the most important for me. The location and facilities were great, with easy parking space around.

There was nothing that I did not like, but it was a bit disappointing to be the only "Spanish" student as we could not do the usual exercises of exchange with the members of the class.

Hi there!

Actually we had other Spanish students in the school in the same moment, but you have booked the Individual 15 course, that consists of 15 individual classes per week! :)

Maybe the intereaction is good for making the classes more pleasable, but we are sure that you improved your skills with these individual clases!!

Really thanks for your review and we are waiting you back when you are in Spain!

Best regards!

"Ticks all the boxes"

judith ann robertson

Now retired, at last I have finally found a school that teaches me what I want to learn and gives me the flexibility to choose days and times that coincide with my visits to Spain.

The teachers are all Spanish, professional with lots of patience. They assess your capabilities and teach you accordingly.

The location is easily reached by bus or train.

I cannot comment on accommodation as I stayed in our flat.

It is very hard work and you cannot get away from trying to revert to your own language but it is very rewarding when you speak some Spanish and are understood.

"The best experience of my life"

Ronja Forsman

I really learned a lot in a short time. The classes and teachers are the best! The teachers are highly qualified and they encourage you to learn. The teachers love what they do, and they are very happy. They also help if you have any questions. The teaching methods are also very powerful. Solingua is a very modern school. The place is really beautiful and the location is excellent. There are many activities that allows Solingua to offer something for everyone.

I liked everything. The teachers ask students for their schedules, so learning is flexible and easier. I definitely recommend this!

"Solingua is a great school"

Aleksandra Kosmowska

When I found out that Solingua was in Puerto Marina, I was super happy as I rented a flat almost in front of it. For me, the location was perfect. After class, I'm on the beach in 5 minutes! The staff is super friendly, and the teachers are very nice and helpful. I've been taking my classes for 6 months now, and I can feel a lot of improvement. I was struggling with my Spanish for years learning it at home, then I decided I would never speak it unless I came for some time to Spain, and that was the best decision I could ever make. The classes are dynamic and fun. They switch the activities so the time flies quite quickly and you don't ever get bored. They organize different activities. I also learned here to paddle surf. :D

Would it be possible for him to take the Spanish classes with the 50+ group and take private lessons instead of the activities?"
